Situated on the southern shore of Georgian Bay, the Municipality of Meaford extends North West to the boundary of the City of Owen Sound and to the South East boundary of the Town of the Blue Mountains. It is located within the Georgian Triangle region and known as one of Canada's finest four seasons resort areas.

Located directly on Highway 26, Meaford is home to a vibrant and critically acclaimed summer theatre festival, numerous fine dining establishments, two of Ontario's best hiking and cycling trail systems, excellent fishing and waterfront camping. Meaford and the surrounding area have something for everyone.

Families were encouraged to participate by being physically active on June 21 and log their activity hours at www.playbrucegrey.com. All activities count, inside or outside – try something new!   Community Services is working had at pulling together a wonderful line up of events to choose from at the Meaford Harbour Rotary Pavilion and other locations.  A flyer with all the activities will be posted soon, please check back for all the details or like us on our Facebook page: Community Services Meaford. {/slide} {slide=Earth Week 2014} New Date for Memorial Park Earth Week Spring Clean-Up! Sunday, May 4th is the rescheduled date for the 5th Annual Earth Week clean-up at Memorial Park. The rescheduled event is at the same location, of course, Memorial Park, the same time 1 pm to 3 pm just a different date, Sunday, May 4th. The two hours of effort on the part of volunteers is not meant to be a token gesture but a substantial spring-cleaning. The existing piles of white snow camouflage significant amounts of garbage! The annual Earth Week Clean-Up is a targeted and significant effort to help keep the park beautiful and green. Hope to see you Sunday, May 4th at 1:00 pm. The overall focus is to further develop behaviours and strategies that will work towards Zero Waste in our community.   Earth Week events will start with a spring clean-up at Memorial Park on Sunday, April 20th and close with a Reuse Fair at the Meaford & St. Vincent Community Centre on Saturday, April 26th, 2014.   Groups will have an opportunity to showcase a recent success, present a one-time event or launch a project into the future.
