Situated on the southern shore of Georgian Bay, the Municipality of Meaford extends North West to the boundary of the City of Owen Sound and to the South East boundary of the Town of the Blue Mountains. It is located within the Georgian Triangle region and known as one of Canada's finest four seasons resort areas.

Located directly on Highway 26, Meaford is home to a vibrant and critically acclaimed summer theatre festival, numerous fine dining establishments, two of Ontario's best hiking and cycling trail systems, excellent fishing and waterfront camping. Meaford and the surrounding area have something for everyone.

    Earth Week 2015 The Municipality of Meaford is partnering with volunteers to celebrate Earth Week. The overall focus is to further develop behaviours and strategies that will work towards Zero Waste in our community. Families were encouraged to participate by being physically active on June 21, 2015 Community Services is working had at pulling together a wonderful line up of events to choose from at the Meaford Harbour Rotary Pavilion and other locations.  A flyer with all the activities will be posted in late April, please check back for all the details or like us on our Facebook page: Community Services Meaford. If you are a group/organization that would be interested in hosting an event during this event, please contact Amber Knott aknott@meaford.ca for more details.   Canada Day 2015 The Canada Planning team will begin meeting in February 2015.  If you and your group are interested in joining, please contact Amber Knott aknott@meaford.ca.  519-538-1060 ext 1413      Dog Days of Summer- Saturday September 5 & Sunday September 6, 2015 September 5th/6th 2015, will take place at the Meaford baseball ball diamonds in partnership with the Beautiful Joe Heritage Society and their annual Dog days of summer pool event. This event provides dog lovers with an opportunity to enjoy an interactive “dog” festival where the family dog can participate in a lure course, get the star treatment in the Pamper Zone and some fun in the Doggie Play Zone, or visit a Holistic Health at the Health and Wellness Centre.  It also includes numerous vendors.  If you are interested in joining our event or to pre-register, please contact Amber at aknott@meaford.ca.
