Situated on the southern shore of Georgian Bay, the Municipality of Meaford extends North West to the boundary of the City of Owen Sound and to the South East boundary of the Town of the Blue Mountains. It is located within the Georgian Triangle region and known as one of Canada's finest four seasons resort areas.

Located directly on Highway 26, Meaford is home to a vibrant and critically acclaimed summer theatre festival, numerous fine dining establishments, two of Ontario's best hiking and cycling trail systems, excellent fishing and waterfront camping. Meaford and the surrounding area have something for everyone.

Families were encouraged to participate by being physically active on June 21, 2015   Community Services is working had at pulling together a wonderful line up of events to choose from at the Meaford Harbour Rotary Pavilion and other locations.  A flyer with all the activities will be posted in late April, please check back for all the details or like us on our Facebook page: Community Services Meaford.   Canada Day 2015 The Canada Planning team will begin meeting in February 2015.  If you and your group are interested in joining, please contact Amber Knott aknott@meaford.ca.  519-538-1060 ext 1413  Dog Days of Summer- Saturday September 5 & Sunday September 6, 2015 Join the Municipality of Meaford with partner Beautiful Joe Heritage Society for an weekend of dog - friendly fun at the Blue Dolphin Pool and William Croft Ball Diamonds.  Entrance by donation, The dogs can have a dip in the pool, as our end of the year fundraising event.  If you are interested in joining our event or to pre-register, please contact Amber at aknott@meaford.ca .
