The Municipality of Meaford's Community Grant Program supports community partners providing programs, services and events to our residents and visitors. The 2017 tax supported budget includes $45,000 to support community partners providing programs, services and events to the residents and visitors of the Municipality of Meaford.
In order to be considered for funds, applicants must be a not-for-profit or charitable organization with a clear connection to the Municipality of Meaford. Funds are available for events, projects or initiatives that both make a significant contribution to the community and promote the Municipality's vision, values, and strategic priorities.
There are two application cycles per year, with the 2017 application deadlines being Monday April 3, 2017 and Friday September 1, 2017. At least 20% of the budgeted funds will be reserved for the second intake of applications.
Council will evaluate applications shortly after each deadline and award funds to those events or projects that best meet the evaluation criteria. No organization will receive more than 10% of the total available funding in a calendar year.
Successful applicants will be required to complete a Final Report and Budget Summary after the event or project takes place.
