Step back in time and discover what life was like more than 1,000 years ago at Dine Like a Viking, a unique evening of food, history and storytelling presented by the Meaford Museum.

Taking place on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Meaford & St. Vincent Community Centre, guests will enjoy a four-course dinner inspired by Old Norse cuisine, expertly prepared by local chef Christina Sheardown, followed by an engaging presentation from renowned Viking historian and naturalist Robert Burcher.

More than just a meal, Dine Like a Viking offers an immersive experience that brings the world of the Norse people to life through authentic flavours and fascinating stories. During his presentation, Robert Burcher will explore the myths, traditions and daily lives of the Vikings, separating popular misconceptions from historical fact.

Whether you’re a history enthusiast, a foodie, or simply looking for a memorable night out, Dine Like a Viking promises an unforgettable evening of delicious food, engaging conversation and a journey into the fascinating world of the Norse people.
