Purpose and Background of Project The Municipality of Meaford intends to reconstruct Sykes Street North, between Lombard Street and Collingwood Street commencing in the Spring of 2021. The project, as proposed, includes the following works:

The Municipality of Meaford has engaged Ainley and Associates Limited to design and manage the construction of the Nelson Street Booster Pumping Station and for the replacement of the watermain on Nelson Street from 175m East of Noble Street to Pearson Street.
The projects were identified in the 2015 Municipality of Meaford Water and Wastewater Servicing Master Plan and are intended to provide better water distribution to the western portion of Meaford.

_MG_8581The Municipality of Meaford recently completed the rehabilitation of two bridge projects, Trowbridge Street Bridge and Structure 043 located on 7th Line. Both bridges, which have been closed for a significant portion of this year, have now been reopened.
A tender was awarded for the Trowbridge Street bridge rehabilitation in April of 2020. The work included waterproofing and paving of the bridge deck and approaches, concrete repairs, and watermain replacement. Updates also...

BayfieldUpdate - Bayfield Street has now been reopened.
Due to flooding caused by excessive waves, Bayfield Street is closed from Sykes Street to Collingwood Street. 
With continuing high winds and low temperatures, please excercise caution in all shoreline areas.
