Please be advised that the road reconstruction project on St. Vincent Street/Grey Road 7 will continue throughout September. Access to Grey Road 7 from Muir Street will continue to be closed, however with the back-to-school season approaching, residents can still reach Georgian Bay Community School by accessing St. Vincent Street/Grey Road 7 from Sykes Street South/Highway 26.

Rehabilitation work on Bridge 037, located on Sykes Street North over Pete's Creek (between Susan Street and Cook Street), will begin in the coming days.
The rehabilitation of the bridge will include:
- Concrete repairs to the structure to ensure continued operation in future years;
- Replacement of the barrier system on the structure to improve safety for vehicles and cyclists; and

Road Resurfacing to Begin on Select Municipal Roads

Beginning in early August, road resurfacing will start on select Municipal roads. The resurfacing is being completed by Duncor Enterprises Inc. and will consist of Micro-Surfacing which is a process where a mixture of emulsified asphalt cement and aggregate are placed on top of the existing roadway to seal the surface, provide a uniform driving surface, and extend the life of the road.
