Waste Collection Notice – Service Interruption because of Weather

Stormy weather has caused delays in the waste collection schedule from yesterday and today.

If you your garbage was not collected yesterday February 22, it has been rescheduled to have garbage bags only collected tomorrow, Thursday February 24.  Blue and green recycling bins will be collected on your next regularly scheduled collection day next week.

If you have garbage out today, Miller Waste Services is collecting garbage however experiencing delays because of changing weather and road conditions....

Municipal Facilities Reopening and Paid Parking Begins in Step 1

With the Province of Ontario moving to Step 1 of the Roadmap to Reopen on Friday, June 11th the Municipality of Meaford is once again able to open some of our facilities to the public, and will launch the paid parking program at Memorial Park.

With the Provincial stay-at-home order lifted on June 2nd, things are looking up as we head into the summer months. Although many restrictions remain in place until June 14th when the new Provincial Roadmap to Reopening comes into effect, the light at the end of the tunnel grows brighter as vaccination numbers rise, and hospital admissions drop. It is encouraging to know that as our progress continues, we have much to look forward to in Step 1 of the reopening...

It’s the May long weekend, the much anticipated start of summer, and the weather is co-operating, but the stay-at home-order continues. We are happy to know the 3rd wave spike in COVID-19 cases is dropping and hospital capacity has improved, however in “an abundance of caution” the stay-at-home order is extended until June 2nd. Traditional Victoria Day celebrations of barbecues, picnics, hikes and bike rides with members of our households can be enjoyed by adding curbside pickup from local restaurants...
