The Municipality of Meaford has declared a Significant Weather Event as of 3:03 p.m., on November 27, 2023. The declaration of a Significant Weather Event is a notice of reduced level of winter road maintenance services. It may take longer than usual to bring the roads back to optimal condition and caution is to be observed when traveling on roads maintained by the Municipality of Meaford.

Due to the severity of the current and forecasted weather conditions and the impact on the Municipality’s road and sidewalk infrastructure, the Municipality of Meaford has declared a Significant Weather Event as of 3:03 p.m., on November 27, 2023. On Friday, November 24, 2023, the Municipality of Meaford, in partnership with My Friend's House, will raise the purple "Courage" flag to acknowledge International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. This initiative aims to raise awareness and offer support and compassion to those within our community who have been affected by violence. Please be advised that part of the Market Square Parking Lot located at 12 Nelson Street East will be closed between Monday, November 27 and Monday, December 4 for the Christmas on the Bay event. Parking is available at the north end of the Market Square parking lot and will remain unaffected.
Alternate parking is available on Nelson Street, Trowbridge Street and at the Meaford Harbour.
