The Municipality of Meaford is launching a citizen-led non-profit "Main Street" organization to support downtown revitalization and needs your support.
Main Street is a framework for locally owned, locally driven prosperity and local citizens, businesses and supporters, working in collaboration. A number of community events are planned to bring awareness to and build interest in this initiative.

Playground Surface Replacement to Begin at Peter Cameron and Bognor Community Parks

Beginning Monday, June 19, 2023, work will begin to replace the existing pea gravel playground surfaces at Peter Cameron Park and Bognor Community Park with engineered wood fiber.
During the Municipality’s annual playground inspection in 2022, third party inspectors identified pea gravel as being no longer recognized as a safe grounding material for playgrounds, and recommended that the Municipality replace existing pea gravel surfaces with engineered wood fiber.

The Municipality of Meaford would like to advise the public that there is not currently an open-air fire ban in place in Grey County.
The fire hazard rating throughout the province remains high to extreme, and the Grey County Fire Chiefs are monitoring and evaluating conditions daily. The Municipality of Meaford Fire Department asks anyone considering an open-air fire or campfire to be extremely cautious and follow local municipal by-laws and regulations.
