The Meaford is Kind event kicks off with a weeklong social media campaign aimed at promoting kindness in our community. Residents are encouraged to participate in the Kindness Campaign by joining in the fun and doing some random acts of kindness for their fellow neighbours and submitting their stories by tagging us, or using #MeafordisKind. The Municipality of Meaford would like to invite you to a virtual public meeting on February 23, 2022 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the Official Plan Review.
An Official Plan is important because it describes Municipal Council’s policies on how land in the community should be used and helps to ensure that planning and change will meet the needs of the community in the future.
This public meeting is an opportunity to learn about common community themes that residents are identifying in their responses...

In the early morning hours of February 1, 2022, the Municipality of Meaford will be removing snow from the downtown core to keep sidewalks, boulevards, and on-street parking clear. Work is scheduled to begin at 4 a.m., and finishing around 7:30 a.m. The work is weather dependent, should conditions change overnight where the roads require plowing across the municipality, this work will be delayed.

The new year, 2022 kicked off with a return to a modified version of Step Two of the Province’s Roadmap to Reopen. That certainly felt like a backslide from the progress we’ve made so far. However, the good news is that starting on January 31st, we can begin to ease restrictions, and that means our facilities will reopen, local restaurants can cautiously open their doors to indoor dining, and gatherings inside can increase to 50% of capacity. Starting this Monday January 31st, the Province of Ontario is easing public health measures. The Municipality will once again offer some in-person services with modifications to meet with provincial legislation. Here is an updated list of Municipal services and offerings.
- Municipal Administration office at 21 Trowbridge Street West will be open to the public on January 31st, during regular business hours of8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday.
