Recycle Your Expanded Polystyrene (Styrofoam)

Municipal Council has partnered with Transition Meaford to offer a one-year pilot program to collect expanded polystyrene for recycling. We encourage you to take advantage of the new recycling program and be a part of making a positive impact on the environment.

I hope everyone has enjoyed these extended warm sunny days that finally allowed our rainbow crosswalk to be installed at the corner of Trowbridge and Sykes St. This colourful statement represents a welcome to all, and the acceptance of differences that we celebrate in this community. In addition, Council will now begin each meeting with a land acknowledgement in keeping with our commitment to promoting Truth and Reconciliation.

Installation of Rainbow Crosswalk at Trowbridge Street East and Sykes Street East Intersection

UPDATE: The installation of a Rainbow Crosswalk was delayed due to rainy conditions at Trowbridge Street East and the Sykes Street East intersection. The road painting cannot happen in rainy conditions and our beautiful new Rainbow Crosswalk has been delayed in the installation process. We will be checking the weather for some nice sunny days for the installation. The work might require temporary traffic disruptions. The work being completed as part of the 2021 line painting contract.
