Annual Burn Permits Available Now

Annual burn permits are available now and can be obtained online by visiting www.meaford.ca/BurnPermits. All residents who applied for a permit last year will be able to renew their permits by logging into their accounts. Click on the above link to get started.
All annual permits are free, are required prior to any burning, and play an important role in fire safety for our community.

Construction to Begin on Harbour Pavilion

Beginning April 8, 2024, work will begin to replace deteriorating posts at the Harbour Pavilion.
Originally constructed in 1990 by the Rotary Club of Meaford, the Harbour Pavilion serves as a vital community hub for various events. In 2023, staff identified structural issues, prompting the need for post replacements due to deterioration below the concrete floor. Naturally Green Landscaping has been retained to replace the compromised posts, ensuring the pavilion's integrity for summer events.
Water Tower Turns Blue for Royal Canadian Air Force Centennial

On March 28, 2024, the Municipality of Meaford’s water tower was lit blue to celebrate the Royal Canadian Air Force Centennial and in commemoration of the people who have, and continue to, serve Canada at home and abroad.

Water Tower Turns Purple for Epilepsy Awareness

The Municipality of Meaford’s water tower was lit purple in support of Purple Day for epilepsy awareness on March 26, 2024.
Purple Day is an international grassroots effort dedicated to increasing awareness about epilepsy worldwide. On March 26th annually, people in countries around the world are invited to wear purple and host events in support of epilepsy awareness.
