Municipality Announces End of “Do-not-Consume” Advisory for Meaford Water System

As of 6:30 p.m. today, the do-not-consume advisory for the Meaford water system has been lifted. The Municipality received confirmation from the Grey Bruce Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Ian Arra, that the advisory could be lifted and that residents can now drink water from the municipal water system. Dr. Ian Arra issued the recommendation after sample results from the municipal water system came back negative for potential contaminants.

Granular Road Resurfacing Beginning in June

Granular road resurfacing will be completed throughout the month of June with work taking place Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. In partnership with Walker Aggregates Inc. and Da-Lee Contracting, 20,000 tons of fresh gravel will be applied to 53.61 kilometers of roads throughout Meaford’s rural areas, along with dust suppressant to help keep dust down.
