Sykes Street North between Collingwood Street and Lombard Street will be open this weekend to vehicle traffic starting at  4 p.m. today. As a result of construction progress and the installation of the first course of asphalt this week, Sykes Street North will temporarily open for this weekend. The Municipality of Meaford Recreation Department has partnered with Imagination Studio, a local community art group, to offer an exciting new ‘Potions Class’ just in time for Halloween. Meaford Culture Foundation has generously provided funding for this class.

The brilliant colours in the trees have begun to pop; there’s the smell of apples in the air, and the harvest bounty welcomes visitors to local farm stores and the final days of local farmers’ markets. Miller Waste Transfer Station Closed Saturday September 25, 2021

The Miller Waste Transfer Station will be closed this Saturday September 25, 2021 for maintenance and reopening on Monday September 27, 2021, following their normal operating hours.  

The Miller Waste Transfer Station, located at 2085 20th Street East, Owen Sound is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Meaford residents have full use of the Miller Waste Transfer Station where they accept garbage, recycling, cardboard, scrap...
