Water Tower Turns Blue for Royal Canadian Air Force Centennial

On March 28, 2024, the Municipality of Meaford’s water tower was lit blue to celebrate the Royal Canadian Air Force Centennial and in commemoration of the people who have, and continue to, serve Canada at home and abroad.

The Municipality of Meaford’s water tower was lit purple in support of Purple Day for epilepsy awareness on March 26, 2024.
Purple Day is an international grassroots effort dedicated to increasing awareness about epilepsy worldwide. On March 26th annually, people in countries around the world are invited to wear purple and host events in support of epilepsy awareness.

The Municipality of Meaford’s water tower will be lit blue in support of Alzheimer's Awareness Month.
Currently, approximately, 4,425 people are living with dementia in Grey-Bruce. By 2030 this number is expected to increase by 53%. January is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month and together we can raise awareness of dementia throughout Grey and Bruce Counties.

Update on Bayshore Road Construction

Please be advised that the planned construction along Bayshore Road has been postponed until spring 2024. Construction work on Bayshore Road, north of Leith, was awarded this past summer to Harold Sutherland Construction Ltd. (Walker Construction Grey-Bruce), and construction was anticipated to begin this past fall. Due to construction challenges, the work will now start in early May 2024 and is expected to be completed by mid-July 2024.
