Flags to Fly at Half-Mast In Memory Of Her Majesty The Queen

The Municipality of Meaford is lowering the flags on all municipal properties to half-mast in memory of Her Majesty the Queen. The flags will remain at half-mast until sundown on the day of the memorial service for Queen Elizabeth II.

The Municipality would like to share its deepest sympathies with the members of the Royal Family. A book of condolences will be available at Meaford Hall (12 Nelson Street East, Meaford) beginning Friday, September 9 for residents who wish to leave a message.

The Municipality of Meaford Council and staff are committed to an ever-increasing pathway to inclusion. Keep your eyes peeled for this beautiful new crosswalk at Nelson and Sykes Street between TD Bank and Meaford Hall Arts and Cultural Centre. Death of municipal staff member

It is with the utmost sadness that staff of the Municipality of Meaford acknowledges the loss of our dear friend and colleague Nicolas Burt. Nick was a valued member of the Municipality’s team, working as the Project Manager, Facilities in the Community Services department. Nick was crucial to the construction of the new Meaford Public Library, ensuring that the community can enjoy that facility for many years to come.

We are on the Move! The Planning and Building divisions move to their new location

The Planning and Building Divisions for the Municipality of Meaford have moved in to their new location at 15 Trowbridge Street West, Meaford. Starting Monday July 11, 2022 the Planning and Building staff will be serving the community in their new location. Formerly the location of the library, this historic building has been updated to meet the planning and building needs of our growing community.
