Meaford Council Announces Members of Pumped Storage Advisory Committee

Meaford Council is pleased to announce the appointment of the members of the Pumped Storage Advisory Committee (PSAC). The committee members represent a diverse cross-section of expertise and experience and will work to facilitate collaborative learning and information exchange regarding TC Energy’s proposed Pumped Storage Project.

Annual Burn Permits Available Now

Annual burn permits are available now and can be obtained online by visiting www.meaford.ca/BurnPermits. All residents who applied for a permit last year will be able to renew their permits by logging into their accounts. Click on the above link to get started.

All annual permits are free, are required prior to any burning, and play an important role in fire safety for our community.

The Municipality of Meaford is excited to announce the launch of regular updates to both the Council and the public regarding the ongoing proposed Pumped Storage Project. This series of updates aims to keep the community informed and engaged throughout the project's development and approval process.

Construction to Begin on Harbour Pavilion

Beginning April 8, 2024, work will begin to replace deteriorating posts at the Harbour Pavilion.

Originally constructed in 1990 by the Rotary Club of Meaford, the Harbour Pavilion serves as a vital community hub for various events. In 2023, staff identified structural issues, prompting the need for post replacements due to deterioration below the concrete floor. Naturally Green Landscaping has been retained to replace the compromised posts, ensuring the pavilion's integrity for summer events.
