Celebrate Canada Day in The Municipality of Meaford

Canada Day weekend serves up a ton of fun for the whole family across the entire municipality!
Kick off the Canada Day weekend with a special concert that takes place at Meaford Hall on Saturday, June 29 at 7:30 p.m. featuring a variety of local talent in celebration of Meaford’s 150th. Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for students.
On Sunday, June 30 head to the Annan Ball Diamond at 6:00 p.m. for some barbeque and enjoy some great live music and free activities for the kids.

Cooling Centres Available During Extreme Heat

Due to the extreme heat the Meaford Public Library and the Meaford (11 Sykes St N) and St. Vincent Community Centre (151 Collingwood St W) are open for residents to cool off at during the day this week.
The Meaford Public Library’s Hours:
- Tuesday 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Wednesday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Friday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Notice of Temporary Accessible Service Disruption for Meaford's 150th Parade

In preparation for Meaford’s 150th History and Heritage parade on Saturday, June 15, 2024 there will be barricades set up along St. Vincent Street to the Harbour at 12:00 p.m. to control vehicular traffic along the parade route (St. Vincent Street), and surrounding streets.
The barricades will be removed when the parade is over at approximately 2:00 p.m.
We would appreciate your kind cooperation in not parking your vehicle on St. Vincent Street between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.

The Municipality of Meaford is working with FlashVote to engage the community and gather valuable input from residents to inform municipal decisions. Residents are encouraged to sign up now to ensure they registered to participate in the first survey.

In recognition of national Pride Month the Municipality of Meaford will be flying the pride flag in Market Square and lighting our water tower with the colours of the rainbow starting Saturday, June 1 to Saturday June 8, 2024.
