Load Restrictions in Effect March 1st

Meaford, Ontario – February 27, 2018 – Effective Thursday March 1st, 2018 all Municipality of Meaford Roads will be under a reduced load (5 tonnes per axle) restriction.

Load restriction periods are weather-dependent. They may last from March 1st to May 1st, but can be extended as late as May 31st due to changing weather patterns. Interim Acting CAO Appointed

Meaford, Ontario – February 14, 2018 – The Municipality of Meaford is pleased to announce that Rob Armstrong, current director of Development and Environmental Services, has been appointed interim acting CAO (Chief Administrative Officer) for the Municipality of Meaford, effective February 26th, 2018.

2018 Municipal and School Board Elections

Meaford, Ontario – January 23, 2018 – The upcoming Municipal Election to elect a Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Councillors and School Board Trustees will take place in October 2018.

Nominations will open on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 and close on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. These dates differ from previous elections due to changes in the Municipal Elections Act. The nomination period previously ran from the first business day in January until the second Friday in September.
