On May 12, 2024, The Municipality of Meaford’s water tower will be lit purple in support of Fibromyalgia Awareness Day.
May 12, 2024, is the 32nd anniversary of Fibromyalgia Awareness Day as recognized by the World Health Organization. In recognition of the 2-4% of Canadians living with fibromyalgia.

2024 Hydrant Flushing

Staff from the Environmental Services team have begun flushing fire hydrants as part of their annual maintenance program within urban Meaford. Flushing will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday to Thursday and is estimated to be completed by October.

The Municipality of Meaford’s water tower will be lit Red, Blue, and Green for Safety & Health Week starting today, Monday, May 6 to Saturday, May 11, 2024.
By lighting the water tower, the municipality aims to raise awareness about the importance of safety measures in the workplace and encouraging a culture of well-being within the community.

Parking at Memorial Park

Memorial Park is opening for the 2024 season!
Residents can now visit the Memorial Park Office and register their license plate with a staff member to obtain their free parking privileges Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. On Friday, May 10, the hours will change to 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 7 days a week.
Don’t forget to bring your proof of residency to register a license plate. This can be your driver’s license, tax bill or water bill.
