Nelson Street Water Booster Pumping Station - Pre-Construction Public Information Centre

Posted On Thursday December 24, 2020

The Municipality of Meaford has engaged Ainley and Associates Limited to design and manage the construction of the Nelson Street Booster Pumping Station and for the replacement of the watermain on Nelson Street from 175m East of Noble Street to Pearson Street.

The projects were identified in the 2015 Municipality of Meaford Water and Wastewater Servicing Master Plan and are intended to provide better water distribution to the western portion of Meaford.

The purpose of the Public Information Centre (PIC) is to provide an update on the projects as we move towards the construction phase of the projects. The design is being finalized and the project will be tendered in early 2021.

The Public Information Centre will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021 starting at 5:00 pm and will include a short presentation, followed by a period for questions. If you cannot make the time for the PIC, the project will remain open for comments and questions until January 22, 2021.

The Public Information Centre will be conducted virtually (on-line) rather than having a physical location to meet in-person, due to COVID-19 pandemic precautions. The meeting will be hosted using Microsoft Teams platform, which will allow residents and property owners to participate. If you do not have accesses to the internet or a computer but still wish to participate a phone-in number will be provided.

We ask that you register for the event by emailing brampton@ainleygroup.com or phoning Ainley Group at 705-445-3451 to receive a link or call-in number for the Nelson Street PIC. Details will be provided by email or phone on or before January 7, 2021. Contact information can also be found on the Municipality’s website at www.meaford.ca/NelsonBoosterStation.

The presentation will be posted after the event for additional comment.
