Project Overview

The Municipality of Meaford is replacing the bridge on 8 Sideroad (BR-133) to ensure our roads stay safe and reliable. We’re removing the old concrete structure and installing a new prefabricated bridge to maintain service now and in the future.

This project includes: 

  • Full removal of the current concrete bridge 

  • Installation of a new prefabricated superstructure 

  • All work completed by Cox Construction Limited 

Timeline

  • Anticipated project start: September 2, 2025

  • Ongoing end: October 31, 2025 (estimated) 

Timelines may be subject to weather and site conditions. 

Budget

  • ShapeTotal Budgeted: $820,087 

Impact on Residents 

  • Traffic Disruptions: 

    • 8 Sideroad is closed at the bridge throughout construction. 

    • Please use alternate routes for through traffic. 

    • Residents can still access their properties, but do not park on the roadway. 

  • Noise and Dust:Shape  

    • Expect some noise and dust during construction. 

    • The contractor is working to minimize both wherever possible.
