 Project Description

This project aims to improve critical infrastructure along a segment of Lakeshore Road South stretching from Ford Avenue to Centerville Road, including Algonquin Drive. As outlined in the Water and Wastewater Master Plan (2015), the watermain serving this area was installed in 1968 and is no longer compliant with provincial standards. Over time, the deterioration of the watermain has resulted in several water service failures in recent years, highlighting the urgent need for attention from the Municipality. Additionally, Algonquin Drive's road surface is in poor condition, with a Pavement Condition Index (PCI) of 22, presenting an opportunity for rehabilitation. By upgrading the watermain and rehabilitating the roadway, the project aims to address these infrastructure issues and enhance safety for drivers and pedestrians.
