Bayshore Road Rehabilitation and Water Service Replacement

The Municipality of Meaford is proposing to rehabilitate 1030 meters of Bayshore Road from Grey County Road 15 to the south end of Structure 20.  The road surface has reached end of life resulting in increased maintenance costs to meet the required Minimum Maintenance Standards. The site location is identified on the map provided.

 Project Description

This project is for the rehabilitation of approximately 1,030m of Bayshore Road from County Road 15 to the south end of Structure 20. The rehabilitation will include drainage work, repaving for the asphalt road and water service replacement to property line. There will be approximately 20 watermain service saddles being replaced. A drainage study and design was commenced in 2022.  A drainage study was completed to outline the existing drainage issues on Bayshore Road. Following the study an engineer was retained to completed design of drainage improvements that will be completed as part of the road resurfacing project. The engineering is currently ongoing.  A public information meeting is planned for March Wednesday March 8 from 4:30 - 6:30 pm to share details  about the upcoming construction and for the public to discuss any questions or concerns.

Estimated expenditure in 2023: $1,271,000
