The Municipality is planning for the reconstruct of Cook Street between Collingwood Street West and Lombard Street, as well as, watermain improvements at the William Street, Albert Street, Nelson Street, Trowbridge Street West intersections, and 278 Cook Street.

Limits of proposed reconstruction

R.J. Burnside & Associates Limited has been hired to provide engineering services for the project.

The start of reconstruction work is planned for the spring of 2022, subject to Council approval. The project will generally consist of the following:

  • reconstruction of approximately 250 metres of road including curb and gutter, and sidewalk along the west side of the street
  • replacement of sanitary sewer and local watermain including services to property line
  • upgrades to storm sewers
  • repairs to the transmission watermain at five locations along Cook Street
  • restoration of all disturbed areas
Public Information Centre - Wednesday August 4, 2021 at 4:00 pm
A Public Information Centre (PIC) is scheduled for August 4, 2021 at 4:00pm. The meeting will provide details on the proposed design and construction. Attendees will have the opportunity to listen to a presentation from R.J. Burnside and Associates Limited and Municipal staff. An open question and answer period will follow the presentation.
