If you need to prepare a re-opening plan, the Health Unit will receive and review plans for locations closed due to COVID-19 including inspections, as required.

Government of Canada - Tourism Relief Fund in Southern Ontario |
Launched July 2021, the Tourism Relief Fund has a commitment of $500 million (over two years). The Fund is for supporting tourism businesses and organizations to adapt their operations to meet public health requirements and investing in products and services to facilitate future growth.
Contributions to businesses will be either: non-repayable contributions up to 50% of eligible costs to a maximum of $100,000 or fully repayable contributions up to 75% of eligible costs to a maximum of $500,000.
Contributions to not-for-profit organizations and Indigenous entities will be eligible for non-repayable contributions.
Project contribution amounts would not exceed $500,000. The actual contribution amount will be based on the minimum amount required to carry out the project. To learn more visit: Tourism Relief Fund |
Province of Ontario - Help With Covid-19 Costs |
The Province of Ontario is offering Property Tax and Energy Bill rebates for businesses that are, or were, required to shut down or significantly restrict services due to provincial public health measures. The rebates are provided in the form of grants, to eligible businesses to help with their fixed costs.

Province of Ontario - COVID-19 Energy Assistance Program for small businesses (CEAP-SB) |
This funding program provides a one time, on-bill credit to eligible small business and registered charity customers to help them catch up on their energy bills and resume regular payments. Small business and registered charity customers may be eligible for up to $850 in support towards their electricity bill if they primarily use electricity for heating, or up to $425 otherwise. Small business and registered charity customers could also be eligible for up to $425 in support towards their natural gas bill.
