Project Description |
Gillies Bridge is located on Sideroad 3, just west of Grey Road 29, and runs over the beautiful Big Head River. This structure, consists of a single span, concrete rigid frame structure with a total deck length of 16.3 metres and a 7.3 metre wide driving platform between the curbs. The project will consist of full removal and replacement of the bridge structure including roadside safety devices, and traffic control. Due to the nature of the work, this project will require a full road closure for a large portion of the project length and a detour will be in place. The bridge design engineering took place in 2020 to allow for construction to proceed within replacement timing identified in the 2020 OSIM Report. |
