The opening of Meaford Harbour for the 2020 season has been delayed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Our staff are working to get the docks and facilities prepared with the help of Richardson's. The Harbour House is currently undergoing renovations that were delayed due to emergency orders from the Province. We anticipate fully opening the harbour on July 3rd, 2020.

The boat launch is now open for day use.

Meaford Harbour is a beautiful Marina on the Georgian Bay Waterfront. It features parkland, a pavilion, and ample parking for cars, boats and RV's. It is in close walking distance to Meaford's downtown core, just steps away from restaurants, shopping, the Museum, and the iconic Meaford Hall.

Boaters will enjoy the amenities offered by the administration and comfort building including washrooms, showers, and a beautiful lounge with breathtaking views of the bay.

Stay for a day, a week or the whole summer. The Meaford Harbour and Marina is waiting for you.

For more information, see our Harbour Brochure.

Changes due to COVID-19

Staff are working through the challenges that we are now faced with to ensure everyone's safety. Below is a summary of the opening procedures that are being implemented at Meaford Harbour to ensure the safety of our staff and boaters.

 Dock Access
The Municipality will provide access to your dock as of June 1st, 2020. This access will be will be provided from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily. The Municipality will be installing temporary fencing at the entrance of the breakwall that will be locked during the off time. Harbour users may inspect or complete repairs to their vessel during these hours only. No more than 2 people can access the vessel at any one time. This access is intended for our boating customers only or their contracted repair people, and is a temporary measure during the COVID-19 outbreak and while the construction work is being completed.  Signage will be posted along the fence to provide information for access and protocols that will be in place regarding cleaning, disinfection and distancing.
 Facility Opening
The Municipality is anticipating that facilities and services will be open as of July 3rd, 2020. The boating washroom facilities are currently under renovation and are anticipated to be complete by the end of June. This means that during the renovation, there will be no services provided in the office or on the docks. The Municipality will not be providing hydro and water services during the month of June. Should construction be completed earlier, full services will be provided as soon as reasonably possible.
 Daily Inspections
The Municipality will be preforming a “Dock Walk” once a day at the end of the opening period (around 3:00 p.m.) to ensure the safety of the docks, and that vessels are secure. It will be the responsibility of the boat owner to address any issues with your vessel. The Municipality will communicate any issues directly to the owner in a timely fashion.
 Payment
The Municipality will be issuing refunds for anyone not wishing to dock with us during the 2020 season. These customers will have first right of refusal for their dock space for the 2021 season. Customers intending to retain their dock this season will be provided a prorated seasonal rate of 65% of the normal seasonal mooring charge beginning July 1st, 2020. The Municipality will not be charging for people accessing their docks for the month of June, 2020.
 Safety Precautions
The Municipality is currently working through a number of safety precautions and developing standard operating guidelines to protect our staff and our valued customers. These precautions will be identified through signage at the facilities and through further email communications. We ask for your cooperation in following the rules identified on the signs to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.
