Youth Co-Ed Hockey

Instructor: Meagan Coleman

A great recreational hockey for kids just starting out (beginners) or looking for a non-competitive place to play! Kids will participate in shinny-style hockey and skills and drills. Full equipment mandatory. Owen Sound Attack Mini Game - To Be Determined.

COVID-19 Information 

Access will be not be permitted to anyone presenting symptoms of COVID-19. Self-screening signage will be posted entrances for individuals to self-assess.

Proof of Vaccination 

  • All visitors to Meaford Hall & the Meaford & St. Vincent Community Centre are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof of their vaccination status. 
  • Children ages 12 and over who are entering and participating in these facilities are required to provide proof of vaccination

Beginner RAD Riders Mountain Biking (Ages 4-6)

RAD Adventures

RAD's newly revamped for beginner riders only, this is the perfect program to get your child comfortable on his/her bike in a safe and supportive environment. Our newly revamped 5-week Beginner Rad Riding program is best suited for riders who are riding a two-wheeler currently but have little experience on mountain bike trails. This program is for riders who would like to gain new basic riding skills and set them up for our Rad Intro to MTB Program. This program will focus on mountain bike basics including correct stance, proper braking, gear changing if applicable, and body movement on a bike. 


This 1-hour session will have a 45-minute lesson and the remaining time will be spent completing drills and riding our Radtrax ramps to focus on newly learned skills.

Intro to Mountain Biking (Ages 7-11)

RAD Adventures 

RAD's newly revamped 5-week Rad Intro to Mountain Biking Program is designed for young riders ages 7 - 11 who are now comfortable on their two-wheelers and are ready for single-track and riding on varied terrain. Participants must have geared bikes. Front suspension is recommended. This program will focus on new mountain bike skills (program outline below). This 2-hour session will feature a 45-minute lesson focusing on a new skill each week with the remaining time spent practicing that skill, completing drills, riding our Radtrax ramps, and practicing on single-track trails.

This program will teach the following skills:
  • Braking (front and rear; identifying the difference and when to apply each brake)
  • Weaving and body weight shifting, using pylons
  • Proficiency with gear changing
  • Approaching and riding over small, raised wooden features
  • Riding and balancing on narrow skinnies
  • Approaching and navigating intro-level rock gardens

Community Programs

Creative Dance, Ballet, Tap, Aerial Silks

If your child loves dancing on tippy toes, grooving to the music, or climbing in the playground, they will love our dance and aerial silks classes. More details at or call Georgie at 519-370-9087. 

 Free Spirit Forest & Nature School

Join us in the Forest one day a week at Memorial Park. Spend the majority of your day outside exploring and discovering all of the natural wonders, big and small, with a skilled mentor! Cultivate connection with nature, self and others in fun and engaging ways.
