The Municipality of Meaford is excited to invite residents and visitors for a free summer movie series!  Movies Under the Stars: A Summer Series! Enjoy three fun, free, family-friendly outdoor movie nights at favourite local spots throughout the Municipality. Bring your friends, a blanket, and movie snacks for an unforgettable summer evening.  

“We are excited to offer the Movies Under the Stars: A Summer Series as a way to bring our community together,” says Jessica Kenyon, Small Medium Business Liaison for the Municipality of Meaford. “These special evenings are the perfect chance to relax, enjoy time with friends and family, and maybe pick up your favourite snacks or a meal from a local spot before settling in for a summer night of film and community under the stars.” 

Residents and visitors alike are invited to join us at dusk for three special nights of movie magic: 

  • Friday, August 8: The Princess Bride 
     Bognor Community Park (597353 Grey Road 29, Bognor) 

  • Friday, September 5: Dirty Dancing 
    UPDATED LOCATION: MEAFORD & ST. VINCENT COMMUNITY CENTRE (151 Collingwood St., Meaford)

Movies Under the Stars is designed to encourage community engagement, showcase local spaces, and support our downtown businesses. These evenings offer a chance to connect, relax, and experience the joy of cinema together, all while enjoying Meaford’s beautiful summer nights. 

Parking Information: 

  • August 8 (Princess Bride at Bognor): along Grey Road 29 and at the Bognor Community Centre 

  • August 29 (Babe at Market Square): along Sykes St, Nelson St, and Collingwood St 

  • September 5 (Dirty Dancing at Arena): in parking lot
