Holiday Hours and Closures:

The Municipality of Meaford will have different hours of operation and facility closures from December 23, 2024, to January 1, 2025. Please read below for specific hours of operation for each municipal location.

Garbage & Recycling Collection: Due to the holidays, garbage and recycling pickup will shift to the day after your usual collection date following statutory holidays. For example, the Wednesday, December 25 collection day will move to Thursday, December 26, and the normal Thursday, December 26, collection will move to Friday, December 27, 2024.

Similarly, the Wednesday, January 1, collection will take place on Thursday, January 2, and the normal Thursday, January 2, collection will shift to Friday, January 3, 2025.

Municipal Offices Our administrative offices at 21 and 15 Trowbridge St W will be closed December 23, 2024, through January 1, 2025, reopening on January 2, 2025.

Meaford and St. Vincent Community Centre The Meaford and St. Vincent Community Centre at 151 Collingwood St W will be closed on December 25 and 26, 2024 and January 1, 2025, and will close at 2 PM on December 24 and 31, but open during regular hours the rest of the holiday week.

Meaford Hall (12 Nelson St E) will be closed December 23, 2024, through January 1, 2025, reopening on January 2, 2025.

Meaford Museum (111 Bayfield St) will be closed December 23, 2024, through January 1, 2025, reopening on January 2, 2025.

The Meaford Public Library (11 Sykes St N) will be closed on December 25, 26, and 29, 2024 and January 1 and 5, 2025. They will be open reduced hours of 10am-3pm on December 24 to January 4, 2024, then back to regular hours on January 6, 2025.
