In the early morning hours of February 1, 2022, the Municipality of Meaford will be removing snow from the downtown core to keep sidewalks, boulevards, and on-street parking clear. Work is scheduled to begin at 4 a.m., and finishing around 7:30 a.m. The work is weather dependent, should conditions change overnight where the roads require plowing across the municipality, this work will be delayed.

The area impacted will be Sykes Street between Collingwood Street and Boucher Street. Once completed we will begin clearing banks along Sykes Street from Collingwood Street to Susan Street and Sykes Street from Boucher Street to McKibbon Dr.

This work has been scheduled in the early morning to avoid impacting businesses, traffic, or on-street parking along these sections. Signage will be posted indicating snow removal in progress; drivers and pedestrians are asked to be aware of their surroundings when travelling in these areas.
