The Municipality’s accessibility flag will fly today Monday, May 27 to Friday, May 31, 2024, at the downtown Market Square flag poles in recognition of National AccessAbility Week in the Municipality of Meaford. Each night for the remainder of the week, the water tower will be lit up in blue and yellow in recognition of accessibility as well.

This dedicated week has been recognized across Canada since 1988, originally inspired by Rick Hansen’s Man in Motion World Tour. This week is an opportunity to celebrate Canadians with disabilities and raise awareness of the critical need for accessibility and inclusion for all in our communities and workplaces.
