Municipality of Meaford Launches Refreshed Community Improvement Plan for 2026

The Municipality of Meaford has launched its refreshed Community Improvement Plan for 2026. The updated plan improves clarity, streamlines application processes, and enhances support for key community priorities including housing, heritage conservation, sustainability, accessibility, and downtown and rural beautification.

“Our refreshed Community Improvement Plan will help more residents, businesses, and community partners take advantage of the financial incentives available to support local growth,” said Amy Cann, Director of Development Services. “These improvements will make it easier for people to apply and will help drive investment in the areas the community has identified as priorities.”

The Community Improvement Plan provides grants, rebates, and tax incentives to eligible property owners, businesses, developers, not for profit housing partners, and agricultural operators. Updates for 2026 include clearer program guidelines, improved eligibility descriptions, and simplified administration that will make the programs easier to understand and access.
