The Municipality of Meaford’s annual spring load restrictions will take effect on March 1, 2025. During this period, all municipal roads will be subject to a reduced load limit of 5 tonnes per axle to protect infrastructure from damage caused by seasonal thawing.

These restrictions will remain in place until May 1, 2025, but may be extended until May 31, 2025, depending on weather conditions. Updates will be posted on the Municipality’s website and social media channels as needed.

In cases of emergency, vehicles exceeding the weight limit may be granted access at the discretion of the Manager of Transportation and Fleet Services. Individuals seeking an exemption can apply in writing to the Manager of Transportation and Fleet Services by submitting a request in person at the Administrative Office (21 Trowbridge Street West, Meaford) or via email at roads@meaford.ca.
