The Municipality of Meaford extends its heartfelt gratitude to all veterans and active service members as we mark National Veterans’ Week from November 5 to 11, and prepare to honour Remembrance Day on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
“Remembrance Day is a time to come together as a community to honour the brave men and women who have served our country and those who continue to serve today,” said Mayor Ross Kentner. “We remember their courage, sacrifice, and commitment to peace.”
This week and day of remembrance give our community the opportunity to reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and service of those who have fought to protect our freedom and peace.
This year’s Remembrance Day Parade and Ceremony, hosted by the Royal Canadian Legion (Branch 32), will once again bring together local veterans, cadets, military personnel, and residents for a powerful display of respect and remembrance.
