The Municipality of Meaford’s water tower will be lit blue in support of Alzheimer's Awareness Month.

Currently, approximately, 4,425 people are living with dementia in Grey-Bruce. By 2030 this number is expected to increase by 53%. January is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month and together we can raise awareness of dementia throughout Grey and Bruce Counties.

The Alzheimer Society Grey-Bruce is an organization that serves local families in Grey-Bruce living with Alzheimer's and other dementia diseases.  They provide education, counselling services and social recreation programs to families living with dementia. They encourage healthy habits like exercise and a nutritious diet for maintaining brain health.

If you are concerned for yourself or a loved one, it is important to know the warning signs of dementia so you can ensure an early diagnosis.
