About the Event:

 

Join us on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, for a full day of Canada Day celebrations at the Meaford Rotary Harbour Pavilion. 

From morning to afternoon, enjoy a vibrant, family-friendly event filled with entertainment, community spirit, and activities for all ages. 

Celebrate Canadian pride, culture, and connection with a wide range of programming throughout the day. Visitors are encouraged to explore the harbour, enjoy local offerings, and connect with community organizations.  

What to Expect 

  • Live music throughout the day featuring local performers  

  • Pancake breakfast (by donation, while supplies last)  

  • Community vendor market with local artisans and businesses  

  • Golden Town Cruisers classic car show  

  • Inflatable corn maze and family-friendly games  

  • Rotary BBQ and Kinsmen Beer Garden  

  • Fire Services and Army Training Centre demonstrations  

  • Wellness programming including yoga and Tai Chi by the water

  • 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. 
    Pancake Breakfast (by donation)

    Tai Chi and Yoga sessions by the water

    Colour Guard Procession  

  • 11:05 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. 
    O’Canada, Flag Raising, Land Acknowledgement, and Mayor’s Remarks  

  • 11:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. 
    DJ, BBQ, Beer Garden, games, inflatable corn maze, and family programming  

  • 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. 
    Fire Services and Army demonstrations

Canada Day in Meaford is packed with activities for all ages: 

  • Giant inflatable obstacle course and slide 

  • Games and activities for kids and families 

  • Interactive booths and community experiences 

  • Museum open to visitors during the day  

Food & Drinks 

Enjoy a variety of food and beverages throughout the day: 

  • Pancake breakfast (morning, by donation)  

  • Rotary BBQ (late morning to afternoon)  

  • Kinsmen Beer Garden  

  • Complimentary cupcakes and doughnuts (while supplies last)  

Accessibility 

The Municipality of Meaford is committed to hosting an inclusive and welcoming event for everyone. 

  • Accessible parking is available at the Harbour Pavilion 

  • The event site is designed to be accessible for mobility devices 

  • A quiet zone will be available for anyone who needs a break from noise, crowds, or activity  

  • A mix of active and low-sensory programming is offered throughout the day 

The quiet zone is a peaceful space where visitors can rest and recharge. Everyone is welcome. 

Plan Your Visit 

  • Road Closure: Bayfield Street will be closed from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  

  • The area is expected to be busy, so plan ahead and allow extra time for parking and travel
