  • Notice of Temporary Closure at Market Square

    The Municipality of Meaford is advising residents of a temporary closure at Market Square from July 31st to August 2nd, 2026, to accommodate Meaford Summerfest, hosted by the Meaford Chamber of Commerce. 

    Overview  

    The following services will be temporarily impacted: Parking at Market Square (27 Collingwood Street, East). 

    Start date: Friday, July 31, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. 

    Approximate end date: Sunday, August 2, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. 

    Reason for disruption: Meaford Summerfest event activities. 

    Alternative services: Accessible parking for Meaford Hall will be available on Nelson Street.

  • The Municipality of Meaford is advising residents

    The Municipality of Meaford is advising residents of a road closure along Trowbridge Street West from Cook Street to Thompson Street while crews dig test pits ahead of the future Trowbridge Street reconstruction. 

    Overview 

    The following services may be temporarily impacted:  

    • Road closure along Trowbridge Street West from Cook Street to Thompson 
    • Local traffic will be permitted  

    Start date: Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. 

    Approximate end date: Wednesday, April 15 at 3:00 p.m. 

    Reason for disruption: Test pits are being dug in preparation for the upcoming Trowbridge Street reconstruction project. Test pits are small, shallow holes used to identify underground utilities and soil conditions before construction begins. 

    Please follow signage for detour routes and drive with caution in the area.
