Meaford Teams Up with Owen Sound to Support Building Services

The Municipality of Meaford is partnering with the City of Owen Sound to make sure building permits and inspection services continue smoothly while we realign our building services.

“Partnering with Owen Sound gives us the extra support and expertise we need to keep building services running smoothly,” said Amy Cann, Director of Development Services. “We’re committed to enhancing our service delivery and providing exceptional customer service for our applicants, builders, and Meaford residents.”

This partnership will help ensure that building permits and inspections continue without delays. Staff from Owen Sound will assist with plan review, inspections, and Chief Building Official duties as needed.

Our teams both use Cloudpermit, which allows for an easy and coordinated process for residents, builders, and developers.

The cost of these services will be covered by building permit fees, not property taxes.

This agreement will remain in place for approximately one year, while we complete the recruitment and training of our full building services team.
