New website opens with an opportunity for residents and businesses to share input on the Business Retention and Expansion project.
MEAFORD, ON — The Municipality of Meaford has launched Engage Meaford, a new online website that gives residents, businesses, and community partners one place to learn about local government projects and share feedback.
Engage Meaford is designed to improve transparency and public participation. Users can stay informed, review project information, complete surveys, share ideas, and contribute to initiatives that affect the community.
The platform is now open for feedback on its first project, Building Business, Growing Community, the Municipality’s Business Retention and Expansion, or BR&E, project. Businesses and residents are invited to visit Engage Meaford and complete the online survey.
A BR&E project helps a community understand the health of its local economy by hearing directly from the people who know it best. The project focuses on businesses already operating in Meaford because existing businesses create most local jobs and investment. Their insight is paired with input from the wider community.
Through the online survey, focus groups, one-on-one conversations, and public events, the Municipality will identify the challenges, opportunities, and supports that matter most. What the Municipality learns will help guide future economic development decisions and priorities.
“Engage Meaford is an exciting step forward in how we connect with residents and gather meaningful input on the projects and decisions that shape our community,” said Jessica Kenyon, Economic Development and Community Growth Coordinator. “Launching the platform with the BR&E project gives residents and businesses an opportunity to share their experiences, at their convenience, and help guide Meaford’s economic future.”
Feedback on the BR&E project will be open for approximately one month. After the feedback period closes, the project page will remain available and will be kept up to date with project news, progress, and next steps.
Residents and businesses are encouraged to visit Engage Meaford, learn about the BR&E project, and complete the survey. More municipal engagement opportunities will be added to the platform over time.
