Notice of Construction for Memorial Park Entrance

Project Details

Location: Memorial Park entrance road (179 Grant Avenue, Meaford)

Anticipated Start Date: October 26, 2026

Estimated Completion: Final paving is anticipated to be completed in spring 2027.

Scope: The Municipality of Meaford is replacing the existing 3.5 metre entrance road at Memorial Park with a new 5 metre road. The wider road will create additional space for pedestrian access. The project also includes new lighting, speed barriers, and signage to support safer access to the park.

During construction, park users may experience changes to access at the Memorial Park entrance road. Please use caution in the area and follow posted signage.

Project Impacts

Road Access: Access to Memorial Park may be affected while work is underway on the entrance road. Please follow posted signage and allow extra time when entering or leaving the park.

Other Services: Park amenities are expected to remain accessible wherever possible during construction. Any changes to access will be communicated through project updates and posted signage.

Noise: Residents, property owners, and park users should expect some noise during construction times.

Dust: Residents, property owners, and park users should expect dusty conditions during some construction activities. Efforts will be made to reduce dust as much as possible.

Vibration: The possibility of vibrations due to compaction equipment during construction is not anticipated to be significant, but residents and property owners should protect valuables that may be susceptible to damage as a result of vibration.

Property: The Municipality will not be responsible for owner installed items within the road allowance, such as sprinklers, landscaping, lamp posts, etc. If you have any of these items, we recommend that they be removed prior to the project if possible.

Thank you in advance for your co-operation.
