Notice of Municipal Internet Provider Disruption 

The Municipality of Meaford would like to advise residents that our internet provider is currently experiencing an unexpected outage. As a result, municipal phone lines and email services are currently unavailable. Staff are actively working with our service provider to restore service as quickly as possible. 

Overview  

The following impacts have been observed: 

  • Municipal phone lines may be unavailable. 
  • Email service may also be unavailable while the internet outage is ongoing.
  • In-person payment at municipal facilities.

Start date: Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at 3:45 p.m. 

Approximate end date: To be determined.

Reason for disruption: Unexpected internet service outage affecting municipal phone and email systems.

Temporary contact options: Self-serve options and information are available on the municipal website at meaford.ca.  

Staff remain committed to supporting residents throughout the outage. Updates will be shared as they become available.
