Sykes Street will be temporarily closed between Cook Street and Berry Street for the Scarecrow Parade and Festival on Friday, October 2. Parking restrictions will be in effect in the downtown core, and access to some parking lots will be limited during the parade.

- Parking restrictions at 3:00 p.m.
- Sykes Street closure at 5:30 p.m.
Approximate end time: Friday, October 2, 6:45 p.m.
Parking restrictions:
- No parking on Sykes Street between Collingwood and Trowbridge Streets after 3:00 p.m.
- No parking on Bayfield Street between Sykes Street and Collingwood Street after 3:00 p.m.
- No parking on Collingwood Street East after 3:00 p.m.
- Fred Raper Park parking lot closed after 3:00 p.m.
- Vehicles will not be able to enter or leave the Meaford Hall parking lot between 5:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m.
- Market Square and other downtown parking lots along the parade route will not be accessible while the parade is underway.
Reason for disruption: Scarecrow Parade and Festival.
Alternative services: Parking will be available at the Harbour, the Meaford & St. Vincent Community Centre, and on surrounding side streets outside the parade route. To view other parking locations, view the detour map below.
