Notice: Watermain Break and Road Closure – St. Vincent Street

The Municipality of Meaford would like to inform residents of a watermain break on St. Vincent Street between Bridge Street and Don Bumstead Drive. Municipal crews are currently on site conducting emergency repairs. Area residents and businesses may experience temporary disruptions to water pressure.

Overview

The following services may be temporarily impacted:

  • Regular water pressure in the area of St. Vincent Street

  • Full road closure on St. Vincent Street between Bridge Street and Don Bumstead Drive

  • Local detours and traffic control in effect

Start Date: Friday, July 4, 2025
Approximate End Date: Friday, July 4, 2025 – 6pm
Reason for disruption: Emergency watermain repair

Motorists and pedestrians are advised to avoid the area and follow posted detour routes.

Update – Friday, July 4, 2025 at 3:04pm

The watermain has been repaired and crews are working to reopen the road by 6pm this evening.
