The Municipality of Meaford offers its deepest condolences following the tragic fire during a training exercise at Canadian Forces Base Wainwright in Alberta. Our hearts are with the families, friends and colleagues of the Canadian Armed Forces members who lost their lives, and with everyone affected by this tragedy.
As a gesture of remembrance and solidarity, flags at Meaford Hall will be lowered to half-mast today, Monday, October 19. Mayor Ross Kentner and the Municipality stand with the Canadian Armed Forces community during this profoundly difficult time.
