Light It Up! For NDEAM takes place on the third Thursday of October. This year, the event takes place on Thursday, October 15, 2026. Buildings, businesses, landmarks, and bridges across Canada will be lit in purple and blue to celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month and help promote ongoing dialogue about disability inclusion in employment, business, and communities.
