Building Services

The Municipality of Meaford's Building Department administers the provisions of the Ontario Building Code and local Zoning Regulations, promoting public safety in all matters of building, renovating, and demolishing.

The Building Department provides the following services to residents of the Municipality:

  • Plans Review - Confirming compliance with the Ontario Building Code (OBC) and Applicable Laws
  • Issuing Permits for Building, Plumbing, and Demolition
  • Inspections
  • Property Addressing

Applicable Laws

The Building Department cannot issue a permit unless the proposal complies with all other applicable laws. This section highlights some approvals that may be required for your project, and where additional information can be located if needed.
