Blue Dolphin Pool Roof Replacement
Introduction
The Municipality is replacing the flat roof at the Blue Dolphin Pool, which has reached the end of its serviceable life. The approximately 1,900-square-foot roof will be fully removed and replaced with new insulation, a waterproof membrane, and flashing that meet current standards. The roof deck and underlying structural components will also be inspected and repaired as required.
Project Description
The existing roof is showing signs of deterioration, including cracking of the waterproof membrane and potential water leakage. If left unaddressed, this could allow water to enter the building and cause damage to the structure and interior spaces, as well as potentially disrupt pool operations.
The work is expected to take place outside of the pool’s main summer operating season. The project will help protect the building from water damage, extend the service life of the facility, and support the continued operation of the Blue Dolphin Pool for years to come.

- Hours of Work: 7 a.m.-6 p.m.
- Noise: Expect higher noise levels during construction work hours.
- Parking: The Blue Dolphin Pool parking lot will be partially sectioned off for construction activities and heavy equipment use.
- Closed: No closures are expected at this time.
