Splash Into Summer! Community invited to Splash Pad Grand Opening and Longest Day of PLAY

The Municipality of Meaford is inviting the community to come together on Saturday, June 20, for Splash IntoSummer, a full day of family‑friendly fun celebrating the Grand Opening of the new splash pad and the Longest Day of PLAY.

The Longest Day of PLAY is a community-wide eventthat encourages children and families to get outside, be active, and enjoy unstructured play. Splash Into Summer also marks the official opening of Meaford’s new splash pad, a highly anticipated community asset designed to provide accessible water play during the summer months.

  • When:Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Where: McCarroll Park (210 Parker Street East, Meaford)
  • Cost: Free

Families can look forward to:

  • Story Time sessions
  • Touch a Truck
  • Museum exhibits
  • Games, activities, and community programming

Accessibility and inclusion are the key focus of the event. Activities are designed to be welcoming and barrier aware, with accessible routes, parking, and clear event information available to help visitors plan their day.
