The Municipality of Meaford is inviting residents to attend the premiere of Our Communities, Our Stories, a documentary created to celebrate 25 years since the former Town of Meaford, Township of St. Vincent and Township of Sydenham came together as one municipality.
The premiere will take place on Sunday, November 8, 2026 at Meaford Hall at 1:00 p.m.
“This documentary is a meaningful way to reflect on the people, places and stories that have shaped the Municipality of Meaford over the past 25 years,” said Mayor Ross Kentner. “As we mark this anniversary, Our Communities, Our Stories gives residents a chance to look back on the former Town of Meaford, Township of St. Vincent and Township of Sydenham, celebrate the communities that make Meaford unique and think about the legacy we are continuing to build together.”
Through interview-led storytelling, local voices and footage from across the municipality, the documentary reflects on Meaford’s past, the changes brought by amalgamation, the identity of the community today and what future generations should understand about this place.
The film is part of the Municipality’s broader 25th Anniversary of Amalgamation campaign, Our Communities, Our Stories, which recognizes the communities, hamlets, villages, rural areas and urban centre that continue to shape Meaford’s shared identity.
Admission is free, and residents are encouraged to bring a donation of non-perishable food items for the food bank if they are able.
Residents are encouraged to attend the premiere and take part in this community moment of reflection, storytelling, and celebration.
