Granular Road Resurfacing Beginning in June

Granular Road resurfacing will be completed throughout the month of June with work taking place Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. 

With a budgeted amount of $439,000.00 an in partnership with Walker Aggregates Inc. and Da-Lee Contracting, 20,000 tons of fresh gravel will be applied to 55.78 kilometers of roads throughout Meaford’s rural areas, along with dust suppressant to help keep dust down.

Saturday, May 25, Grey County's storm sewer inspection contractor (Pipetek) will be cleaning sewers on County Roads within the towns of Meaford and Thornbury.

The work may require some short-term lane closures. This cleaning is to prepare for inspections later this year. Please be cautious around active workers.

Invasive Weed Management in Rural Meaford

The County of Grey is working with local municipalities, including the Municipality of Meaford, to stop the spread of invasive weeds along rural roadways throughout Grey County. The work is scheduled to take place in late May through to the end of June (weather permitting).

Flag Flying and Water Tower Turns Blue for The Victorian Order of Nurses (VON) Week

The VON flag will fly today Sunday, May 19 to Friday, May 24, 2024, at the downtown Market Square flag poles in recognition of VON Week. The water tower will also be lit today Sunday, May 19 and Tuesday, May 21 to Saturday, May 25 in blue in recognition of VON week.
