Community Information Session for Bridge Rehabilitation Projects on December 2

The Municipality of Meaford will host a Community Information Session on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Meaford Hall in the Terrace Room(12 Nelson Street East, Meaford) to share details on upcoming construction work for two bridges:

  • BR-035 (Lakeshore Road South)

  • BR-046 (13 Sideroad)

The Municipality, with Pearson Engineering Ltd., has completed condition assessments and background studies confirming that both structures require rehabilitation in 2026 to maintain safety and serviceability.

Proposed Work:

  • BR-035: Replacement of asphalt, waterproofing, barriers, and curbs; concrete repairs; new guiderails and embankment stabilization.

  • BR-046: Deck repairs, waterproofing, joint replacement, concrete restoration, and approach paving for drainage improvements.

Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to attend the session to review plans and provide feedback. Comments will be accepted until December 19, 2025.
