Notice of Construction for Bridge Rehabilitation on Lakeshore Road South

The Municipality of Meaford is advising residents of upcoming construction on Structure BR 035 located on Lakeshore Road South between Centreville Road and Algonquin Drive. Construction work will include concrete repairs, barrier replacement, asphalt replacement, road stabilization, guiderail installation, and future watermain installation. The work will be completed by Arnott Construction Ltd.

Overview

The following services may be temporarily impacted:

  • Road closure at the bridge on Lakeshore Road South with no through traffic

  • Local access is maintained for residents

  • Increased construction activity, noise, dust, and minor vibration

  • No anticipated impacts to drinking water service

  • Garbage and recycling collection will continue. If access is temporarily blocked, the contractor will assist with moving materials to a designated collection area. Please ensure bins are clearly labeled.

Start date: Monday, June 15, 2026

Approximate end date: September 18, 2026
