Notice of Watermain Repair on Collingwood Street West

Update (May 28, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.): The watermain repair has been successfully completed. Water service and traffic in the area have returned to normal.

The Municipality of Meaford would like to inform residents of a watermain issue located on Collingwood Street West between the Meaford and St. Vincent Community Centre and Thompson Street. Thompson Street is not affected. Municipal staff are currently on site and repair work is underway.

Residents, businesses, and facility users in the area may experience temporary service disruptions during this time.

Overview

The following services may be temporarily impacted:

  • Reduced water pressure affecting the immediate area

  • One lane traffic inimmediate area

  • Increased equipment and contractor presence in the area

Approximate end date: To be determined
Reason for disruption: Watermain repair

Alternative Services

Motorists and pedestrians are advised to use caution when travelling through the area and to follow all posted signage and directions from municipal staff.
