Notice to Third Party Advertisers

The municipal election for offices within the Municipality and School Boards will be held in October 2026.

Third party advertisers are required to register with the Clerk of the municipality where they want to advertise. A third party advertiser is any individual, corporation or trade union that causes an election campaign advertisement to appear. Registrations of third party advertisers will be accepted between Friday May 1, 2026 and Friday, October 23, 2026.

Those wishing to register are encouraged to make an appointment to ensure staff availability. Until the Clerk certifies the registration, a third party advertiser may not spend money on their campaign, accept contributions or begin advertising.

The registration form will be available from the Municipality beginning April 20, 2026, by visiting the Municipal Office at 21 Trowbridge St. W. or online at www.meafordvotes.ca. This website will be updated regularly during 2026 to provide information to voters, candidates and third party advertisers.
